If any member sees a rule being broken they should tell the Match Secretary immediately and certainly no later than the weigh-in of the match concerned.

 Fishery rules must be obeyed and always over-ride all other match rules held by the club.

All members must hold a valid national rod licence and show it to the Secretary at the first match they attend.

No surface/floating baits of any kind to be used, either feed or as a hook bait.

No feed/ground bait to be is to be introduced via any method before the start of the match.

No bait to be introduced via pole cup or bait dropper attached to an extra rod or pole whilst continuing to fish with another rod or pole at the same time.

Keepnets. If there is no fishery rule on the matter, members will observe a 60lb limit on each net. If the net goes over the limit the recorded weight will be knocked back to 60lb with no other penalty.

All nets must be laid out on the bank until 15 minutes before the start – regardless of whether or not they have been dipped.

If an member disregards any or all of the rules listed above, this could result in the offending member being asked to leave the club.

Booking on for Matches

Reserving Match Places

 The Match Secretary/Chairman will contact all members before each match inviting applications for places and depending on responses they will then make arrangements either to book or reduce peg numbers.  Any member who has not paid his/her subscription by the day of the match will be regarded as a ‘visitor’ until and unless the subscription is paid.

Oversubscribed Matches

If a match is oversubscribed there will be a draw to decide who to drop. Any members who are unlucky in this way will not have their names entered in any subsequent draw, ever. 

Cancellation of Attendance

Please contact the match secretary as soon as possible if you have to cancel your place, someone else may be able to fish.


Members will be expected to pay for their peg if they fail to turn up on the match day and have not informed the Match Secretary in advance. 

Guest/Visitors

Guests/visitors and will be accepted at the discretion of the Match Secretary please contact them in advance to arrange this. Members will be responsible for paying any outstanding fees due from their invited visitors  

Team Competitions

The name of the Club, whether in full or abbreviated, may not be used by any team entered in an open match unless sanctioned by a quorum of the Club
